On the morning of May 11, police officers and New York City Fire Department (FDNY) firefighters executed a daring high angle rope rescue of two construction workers, hundreds of feet above the streets of Tribeca. At around 9 in the morning, a wind gust caught a suspended scaffold platform at a 64-story skyscraper currently under construction in Tribeca, stranding two workers. The scaffold spun several times, smashing into windows on multiple floors and sending broken glass falling to the streets
