🏀On June 5, 1977 the Portland Trail Blazers won their only NBA championship in franchise history with a 109-107 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Portland’s Bill Walton, who was named Finals MVP, finished with 20 points, 23 rebounds, 8 blocks and 7 assists. Walton’s 20 defensive rebounds and 8 blocks both set or tied NBA Finals records.
